Анотація
Дослідження мало на меті комплексно розглянути функціонування міжнародної системи захисту прав людини та виявити її сильні та слабкі сторони. Методологічну основу дослідження склали формально-правовий, порівняльно-правовий, історико-правовий, діалектичний, системний та структурно-функціональний методи. Дослідження забезпечило комплексний аналіз нормативно-правової та інституційної бази функціонування міжнародної системи захисту прав людини на основі вивчення ключових міжнародно-правових актів, практики міжнародних судових та моніторингових органів, наукових джерел. У дослідженні визначено основні досягнення та проблемні аспекти міжнародних механізмів захисту прав людини у забезпеченні ефективного доступу до правосуддя, належного розслідування порушень та ефективності процедур контролю. На основі аналізу дослідження обґрунтувало роль міжнародної системи захисту прав людини у забезпеченні верховенства права та гарантуванні основоположних прав і свобод кожної людини. Водночас дослідження довело необхідність подальшого вдосконалення та зміцнення певних інституційних та процедурних елементів цієї системи для підвищення її ефективності та здатності протистояти новим глобальним викликам. У дослідженні наголошено на необхідності обʼєднання зусиль міжнародної спільноти для посилення ефективності міжнародних механізмів захисту прав людини, приведення їх у відповідність до сучасних стандартів та реалій, а також забезпечення їх повного впровадження на рівні національних правових систем. Дослідження продемонструвало, що лише завдяки скоординованій та систематичній співпраці держав, міжнародних організацій та інститутів громадянського суспільства можна досягти реального прогресу у сфері людської гідності та захисту прав кожної людини у глобальному масштабі
