Abstract
The article presents arguments about the expediency of separating and developing “Career Psychology” as a new field of psychology. The prospects of the suggestion are theoretical and experimental synthesis of psychological knowledge in a practical, urgent social sphere. For the better orientation of psychological science to practice and to improve the existing theory proposed to apply in the formation of new branches of psychology synthesis. Thus, the formation of new branches through the analysis of existing leads to their excessive fragmentation and too narrow direction. Such an approach often leads to the inability to apply scientific psychological technology in practice. Synthesis in comparison with analysis is a more powerful method that can be most valuable and important to combine into a single whole to solve practical problems and problems. So, the list of potential to apply in the formation of “Career Psychology” can include such existing areas of psychology as “Psychology of Management”, “Organizational Psychology”, “Psychology of Personality”, “Psychology of the Age”, “Crisis psychology of personality”, “Personnel Psychology of Labor”, “Psychological Assessment”, “Psychophysiology”, “Psychological counseling”, “HRM”, “Psychology of motivation”, “Social psychology”, “Ethnopsychology” and others. Also, the search on the Internet network revealed more than 100 collections of periodicals, where the name is the word “career”. The analysis of publications shows this phenomenon is mentioned in different sciences: sociology (most), management, philosophy, economics, demography. However, very few representatives of psychology. It is pointed out that scientific psychology becomes more and more purely academic science and away from practical orientation. Scientific psychology is moving in its own way and is rarely guided by real practical business problems, HRM, advising on professional implementation. Only individual practitioners are attempting, based on scientific psychology, to create their effective professional experience. It turned out that HRM practices have many developments that directly relate to the psychological aspects of professional activity management, staff development, and this experience reflects a career in a psychological sense. It is appropriate to combine this experience with the theory that can promote psychology. This can help to bring society closer to the creation of a system of measures for the formation of a more satisfied, actualized and self-fulfilling citizen
