Generative AI Policy

We support the responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in scientific activity.
The purpose of this policy is to ensure the integrity, transparency, and reliability of scientific publications presented in the journal.

Use of AI by authors

  • Authors may use AI only as an auxiliary tool (for example, for text editing, translation, or linguistic analysis).
  • AI cannot be listed as a co-author. Authorship belongs solely to individuals who have made a significant scientific contribution.
  • If AI systems (such as ChatGPT, Grammarly, DeepL, etc.) were used during the preparation of a manuscript, this must be disclosed in a note or in the “Acknowledgements” section.
  • Authors bear full responsibility for the content and accuracy of materials created with the assistance of AI.
  • The use of AI is prohibited for:
    • creating or modifying research data and results;
    • automatically generating conclusions without human verification;
    • creating false references or citations.

Use of AI by the Editorial Board and reviewers

  • The editorial board may use AI systems for language editing, plagiarism detection, image analysis, or text structure checking.
  • Reviewers must not provide manuscript texts to external AI systems in order to maintain the confidentiality of the peer review process.
  • All decisions regarding the acceptance of materials for publication are made by humans, not automated algorithms.

Principles of ethical use

  • The use of AI must be transparent, ethical, and under human supervision.
  • Breaching this policy may result in the rejection of a manuscript or the retraction of an already published article.
  • The editorial board adheres to international standards of research ethics (COPE, Elsevier, Springer Nature, and others).

Policy updates

This policy may be updated in accordance with the development of AI technologies and changes in international publishing standards.
The current version is always available on this page of the website.

For any questions related to the use of AI in publications, please contact the editorial board via the official email address of the journal.
