It is shown that a person becomes a subject in the process of implementing different types of activity. The essence of social and psychological adaptation and ability to self-regulation as indicators of personality subjectivity has been revealed. Socio-psychological adaptation is considered as an integral characteristic of the individual. An adapted personality – as a subject has a desire to acquire an individual strategy for interaction with changing environments in accordance with their own outlook, assess what happens and in this process, which regulates its own interaction activity and the content of the relationship with the new environment. Indicators of socio-psychological adaptation are considered as a measure of subjectivity. It has been shown that typical attributes that characterize subjectivity among other phenomena are autonomy, initiative, creativity, freedom and responsibility. Among the personal qualities that influence the development of subjectivity of students are: responsible behaviour, internal control locus, autonomy in business and actions, acceptance of ownself and others, as well as features of regulatory processes. The universality of these markers has been proved, which collectively indicate the student’s ability to be included to the pedagogical process with their own need for self-affirmation and self-realization. It has been shown that during the study of students the attitude to themselves changes, they are more willing to take responsibility for the events of their lives. Such personal components of subjectivity, as activity, responsibility in various spheres of life, self-acceptance are developed; and relations with the environment become harmonious. It has been postulated that the study of adaptability and regulatory capacity of future specialists, as indicators of the subjectivity of their personality, expands the criterion field of this psychological category
