Abstract
Introduction. The essence of the peculiarities of individual emotional experiences during the quarantine of the coronavirus pandemic in Ukraine is revealed. The authors used the mandala method to determine the characteristics of these experiences. This art-therapeutic method had psychodiagnostical and at the same time psychotherapeutic function. In the psychodiagnostic section, through the use of mandala, we were able to find out the peculiarities of the actual life situation perception, emotional experiences and personal attitudes towards it. In the psychotherapeutic sense, the drawing of a mandala helped to relieve the psychological tension, reduce depression and find the resource. Purpose. The purpose of the article is to reveal the diagnostic and psychotherapeutic possibilities of the mandala method in dealing with personal emotional experiences and mental states of the individual during crisis situations. Methods. To achieve this goal, the projective method of MARI by J.Kellogg was used, which gives the opportunity to study the life of individual in the current time. Results. According to the results of mandalas analysis, most of the subjects are at the stage of “dragon fight”, “crystallization” and “fragmentation”. The results of the qualitative analysis confirm the importance of using mandala art therapy as a resource of the individual during crisis emotional experiences. Most respondents show the urgent need for freedom, self-realization, development, creativity and the implementation of ideas. At the same time they feel anxiety, fear and tension that may be associated with a quarantine situation that has led to forced isolation, lack of social contacts, activity and full-fledged professional implementation. Conclusion. The authors substantiate the need to use the mandala method at the stage of emotional crisis for the psychological and emotional healing of the individual
