Abstract

Formulation of the problem.Equity makes it possible to carry out a wide range of banking operations and ensures the sustainability and efficient operation of the bank. The problems of determining the efficiency of using equity are the choice of methods of analysis of components of capital. The purpose of this article is to reveal the theoretical and practical bases of the analysis of the efficiency of using the bank’s own capital, to determine the instruments of managing the bank’s capital on the example of JSC CB “Privatbank”. Methods: the following methods of equity analysis are used in the paper: Normative method of comparative, structural and dynamic analysis of regulatory capital; the method of coefficient analysis of the efficiency of using equity. Results: indicators of efficiency of use of equity of JSC CB “Privatbank” for 2016-2018 are analyzed. Conclusions. Methodical toolkit for analysis of the bank’s equity structure, carried out according to international and national standards, is supplemented by indicators of the coefficient and comparative analysis of the return on equity. The formation of analytical tools for determining the efficiency of the use of equity meets the principles of comprehensive management of the bank’s equity
