Abstract

The article considers the views of scientists and defines the author’s conception of social measures aimed at restraining minors from being drawn into the use of intoxicants. As of 2019, there have been several national programs in Ukraine aimed at promoting healthy lifestyles among young people. There are also separate programs to prevent the spread of alcoholism and drug addiction among minors. Instead, there are no similar initiatives by the state regarding the fight against toxicity. The subjective and objective factors of the predisposition of minors to the use of substances with a stunning effect have been investigated. Considering the causes of the spread of substance abuse among minors, as in the case of alcoholism, there are several major factors: social and psychological; psychological, personality traits of a minor. It has been determined that prevention of the spread of substance abuse among minors should be primarily considered as a means of social regulation. As the problem of substance abuse among minors is of national importance, the preventive measures of the police should be supplemented by the increased responsibility of parents and minors, the efforts of teachers, psychologists, health workers, representatives of social services, activists, media
