Abstract

The article deals with the issues related to combating corruption under modern conditions and developing proposals for laws and by-laws that would further serve to improve the system of combating corruption in Ukraine, as well as to overcome its social preconditions and consequences. It is argued that corruption is a complex mechanism. It is emphasized that the fight against it will remain effective only if there are conditions for the formation of an appropriate system of comprehensive measures aimed at neutralizing these socially dangerous phenomena based on the principles of special law enforcement activities. Under the conditions of reforming the economic and political systems of society and forming a democratic state, the fight against corruption crime, which causes significant damage to the society and the state, negatively affects the state of the economy, destabilizes the financial and credit system, complicates the crime situation, becomes very relevant. It is argued that these negative factors have become one of the factors that threaten Ukraine’s national security. Adoption of a new Anticorruption Strategy in future should be the result of a comprehensive, thorough analysis of the current situation in the country, taking into account the existing challenges and threats caused by corruption crime, based on the analysis of previous efforts, correlation and the positive experience of combating corruption in foreign countries, taking into account the experience of both domestic and international experts
