Abstract
The article provides well-grounded proposals and suggestions on how to improve the efficiency of public administration by means of economic security level in working out of the forecast for economic and social development of Ukraine. It takes into account the public policy guidelines of the National Security Strategy of Ukraine, particularly emphasizing the development of an effective security and defence sector, and specifically the improvement and modernization of the state strategic planning system, the creation of a unified system for monitoring, analysing, forecasting and decision-making in the field of national security and defence, assurance of effective coordination and functioning of a unified system of specific public authority situation centres in security and defence sector. The article strongly supports the application of multifactorial mechanism model for the assessment of the level of national economic security in developing of the forecast for economic and social development of Ukraine. Providing that the key figures of the official Forecast for 2019-2021 are reached, the integrated economic security index will increase by 37 percentage over three years, although in 2019-2021 it will show about 45-54% of its maximum level reached in Ukraine at the beginning of the 21st century. It is found that the application of the projected economic security level estimates in the process of the working out of the forecasts for economic and social development of Ukraine improves the efficiency of public administration of the economy and security of the state. It is reasonable to recommend this methodological approach to be implemented in practice. One should understand that further research is still required to improve the multifactorial models of general and partial integrated economic security indices rationally expanding the number of security assessment factors
