Financial and Social Aspects of the Gender Economics


Abstract

This work is based on the analysis of economic, social and financial systems, which effect on the security of the gender economy. The main emphasis is made on economic inequalities between women and men. The differences in the economic situation of men and women and the causes of their occurrence were analyzed. As, all in all, inequality between the genders effects on the development of the whole economics, the level of GDP, the consciousness of the security in society. The economic gap between the genders and inequality in salaries are clarified in this article. The recommendations for the elimination of gender inequality in our country are substantiated. Research was held using questionnaires method among 133 men and women. 57% of the respondents know about gender inequality. The main conclusions are: 1) the main role of the woman – family; 2) for woman it is important to succeed in the modern world; 3) the men have a belief that they must provide the whole family; 4) woman is less likely to have high-paid job; 5) different women’s priorities are one of the reasons for their lower incomes; 6) during the employment men will demand the highest payment. The results of the research substantiate the attitude of a particular gender to own value in the family and work, which are related with gender, show the stereotypes about the meaning of men’s and women’s work. This data makes an understanding about whom the society gives higher priorities – to the man or the woman. The following directions are proposed to improve women’s position at the labor market: equalization of the payment between industries and reduction of differences in the meaning and payment by gender feature; constant monitoring of employers’ compliance with labor laws to avoid gender discrimination; creation and implementation of programs, which promote the development of women’s small and medium businesses; propaganda of values labor the equal distribution of family and professional roles between men and women
